Whippet
Photos describe the making of “psyche” a sculpture by artist Sally Linder. Delivered to the foundry as a water clay original a silicon rubber mold is made along with a plaster support shell. Using the rubber mold a wax pattern of is made which is then invested in ceramic slurry to create the shell to pour the bronze metal.
The bronze pieces are welded together and the weld seams chased. The piece had a patina applied and was mounted on a piece of polished granite.
